Very informative. Straight to the point. Time flies due to humor. Take notes, tests are open book. Competent staff, clean facilities. Coffee and water for students. Will recommend.

STA is full of experience, and highly recommended. Classes are taught by former military and former law enforcement personnel. Regardless of how comfortable you feel with firearms, laws are ever changing and the class is invaluable for that alone.

This class was informative and helped explain Marylands laws to prepare for being a CCW in the state of Maryland. As well as very helpful in navigating license portal and applying for the correct licenses to own a firearm in the state of MD.

I can’t recommend this academy enough. From start to finish, they make the entire process simple, professional, and supportive. The Security Guard training was detailed, with instructors who truly care about making sure every student understands the laws, procedures, and real-world responsibilities that come with the job. The Special Police Officer (SPO) class went even deeper — covering everything from use of force and report writing to Maryland laws and professional conduct. What really sets this place apart is how helpful the staff are with paperwork and licensing. They walk you through every step, fingerprints, applications, background checks, and submissions making sure nothing gets missed. They answer every question clearly and are quick to respond whether in person, by phone, or over email. You can tell they genuinely want you to succeed and become a professional in the field. If you’re looking for a place that delivers real knowledge, practical experience, and unmatched support, this academy is the one.
