Jim Bane and his team at SSBT are amazing - efficient, quick to respond, informative, and so so helpful. They worked with us through some complex funding issues and several rate locks as we waited for a final city inspection to pass.

Jim and his entire team made the process of financing a breeze. We had a lot of "moving parts" with different properties and they handled it and coached us along the way with sound advice.

I just went through the process of obtaining a mortgage with SSBT mortgage. The two stars is because we finally closed on our house. Poor customer service. They took forever to respond to questions and communicated poorly with us, our realtor, and the title company. Buying a house is a big deal and they should take it more seriously. Be sure to know everything about mortgages because they won't help you out unless you specifically ask. They made a significant error in our closing documents and never admitted it. After our house finally funded they never got in touch to smooth things over or ask for feedback. In an industry that relies heavily on referrals this is not a very good business model!! If you are shopping but for a mortgage look elsewhere. You deserve a better home buying experience than SSBT can provide.
