I used Seatown a few years ago for some minor work and a water heater install. The experience was fine, so when we decided to upgrade our heating and cooling system, I called them back. Big mistake. Four months later, I'm still dealing with the fallout, and I've had to call them nearly every week just to get basic follow-through. First issue: their technicians damaged my wall during installation. Seatown tried to claim this was "expected" and my responsibility to fix. After multiple calls, they finally agreed to repair it—but then dragged their feet for two months before actually sending someone. Next came permitting. Turns out their technicians installed several things incorrectly. Seatown repeatedly "lost" emails from both me and Seattle City Light, never responding until I called multiple times. This still isn't resolved. Just last week, an inspector told me Seatown failed to read his report and missed fixing an additional issue. Managing Seatown's mistakes has become a part-time job. We paid a lot of money for this work, and they've completely ghosted us post-installation. While individual employees have been polite, the company as a whole has been a disorganized nightmare. Save yourself the headache—unless you enjoy spending hours on hold with customer service every week, avoid Seatown until they get their act together.

I had a disappointing experience with SeaTown Electric, Heating & Plumbing in Mukilteo. My main concern wasn’t the quality of their work, but the lack of communication and customer service. Getting clear answers to simple questions was difficult, and messages often went unanswered. The manager, Eric Vasquez, in particular, could do a much better job ensuring customers feel heard and informed throughout the process. Good communication and responsiveness are just as important as technical skill, and unfortunately, that part was missing from my experience. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and improves the way they handle customer interactions in the future.

I called for an appointment and asked about in home electricitcal heaters. I wanted them to fix one and look at the others to see if they were in good shape. I was told they fix but dont look at ones that are not broken. They told me I had an appointment on a Monday from 8am to 10am. I was sent a confirmation and replied. Monday comes and at 11am still no technician. I called to see why at this point they are an hour late and was told they had emergencies they had to go to. I asked couldn't they have called me and the woman on the phone said yes they should. Then she offered me an appointment of 2pm to 4pm. I said no thank you I will find another option. Where is the customer service I heard about...no call and then wants me to wait even longer after I had already waited an hour oast the appointment time. No thanks!!!

It's clear something has changed at Seatown. Initially, I was excited to switch to Seatown from other Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical vendors I've used in the past. The reviews are good, they seem responsive, and the work they do is quality. That was in the beginning... We've had our Tankless Water Heater, Furnace, Air Conditioner, Electrical Panel replaced, recently had two water filtration systems installed, and now am trying to get an EV charger installed. Although expensive, up to this point, I've accepted the price points as part of the cost of doing business, good products, and warrantying their work. However, with the volume of projects and the pricing we're paying with Seatown, I anticipated a few things that have fallen off recently... • If you provide the option to book a service call on Oct. 3 between 8:00 - 10:00 am online, that you'll honor that time • If you can't meet that window, you at least communicate with me that the timing is slipping • If I text multiple times throughout the day, you respond • If I leave a voicemail, you call me back (particularly if you text my wife to call to reschedule due to delays). BTW...why text my wife? All of my communications have been from my cell phone • If I ask for someone from the electrical team to contact me first to discuss what will need to be done (so I can save myself having to block two days off work - 1 for scoping and a separate day for install) - you have the electrical team actually contact me Pull it together Seatown! You started strong...

Update. Since posting this review we have turned on our new furnace and were alerted by our air purifier of dangerously high eCO2 levels around 1405 PPM. We contacted Seatown and they sent out a tech same day. Paul L is an amazing tech and has reassured us our system is operating like normal and just burning off the remainder of chemicals from factory. Raising review because this is the second time Paul L has given us amazing service. I initially posted this review to help others be more aware of the Seatown’s shortfalls and the challenges that my family has faced since hiring Seatown to upgrade our furnace and add AC to our home. Most importantly, do not hire Seatown for Aeroseal. They are not a preferred PSE contractor and they don’t have the experience / skill to perform this service. We experienced multiple cancelled appointments since our first attempt where their machine broke down at our home. Because of our challenges and the available PSE rebate, we consulted with PSE who provided information of preferred contractors for this service. During our consultation with the preferred contractor we learned that our furnace was never set up correctly and our AC was not getting cold enough because too much air was moving over the coils. We followed up with Seatown who sent out an amazing service tech to evaluate our concerns. At this appointment we learned that our 2ton furnace was setup to perform as a 4ton. To our understanding, this has caused our furnace to continually work in overdrive and created excess static pressure in our home. The tech also informed us that our AC was 2 ounces low on refrigerant and topped off what was needed. This last appointment had made us completely disappointed with Seatown and their quality of work. It’s unfortunate how many balls they dropped and how our experience has made us regret our entire purchase. For their sake, we hope that this experience was just a fluke. We wish to share our story so other homeowners can be better informed when they hire their next HVAC contractor.
