  Traveling for work doesn’t always need a 3 day minimum. We were able to book for one night which is rare. The price for that location is a bargain. You have a pool, hot tub, 5 bedrooms and most importantly… you can fish off the deck. It’s the best location and nicely decorated. The most important was that the A/C was not locked at 70 on the thermostat. We are in Myrtle every month and hope to stay here again. Michelle Gibson Oct-2025

  My fiancé and I spent a long weekend at their Seahouse villa. While we were thankful for our time away from home to relax, we would not stay here again, nor would we recommend anyone we know to stay here. The good: The unit is very large. It was just the two of us plus our dog, but we could've easily fit eight more people in there if necessary. The unit is right on the beach. The location was perfect, just steps down to the ocean. Lots of updates to the unit. Samsung washer/dryer. Stainless steel appliances and modern design touches. The bad: First thing to know- I requested an early check-in. The only reply I received was a link to a website that I could pay $50/hr to check-in early. I thought that was a bit absurd. I messaged again about this fee to which there was no response. Once we got there, my fiancé noticed that the rug and furniture in the living room smelled of urine. We also noted that the water pressure in the master bathroom was almost non-existent. I did let the host know and they offered to have someone come by and assess these issues. We declined considering we were only staying for a long weekend. The following night, it was raining very heavy, the ceiling was leaking, and water was pouring from the cabinets in the kitchen. I promptly made the host aware; they sent maintenance and offered to put us in a different unit but at that point, we were checking out the next morning so opted to just stay put. Later that night, we did see a few roaches in the kitchen. We were on the top floor, so I am not sure that moving to a different unit would've fixed that issue at all. To end the stay, I did request a late check-out. The reply that I received made absolutely no sense. I read the reply to my fiancé several times and we both said, "It sounds like they are confusing us with another person." They never responded with a "yes" or "no" when I asked a "yes" or "no" question about a late checkout. So there was some confusion again there. But we ended up just leaving at the scheduled time and went on about our day. I really hate leaving bad reviews, but I do feel this is my honest opinion of our stay here

  I stayed at one of the rental properties with my boyfriend and his family. First of all the entire experience was horrible. Callahan castle property in cherry grove area had a backyard pool that was supposed to be heated. Not heated, smelled like sewage water and not hold water. Not to mention there were roaches crawling everywhere bedrooms, kitchen, outside, everywhere and were massive! Creepy and gross. All of our vents were thickly full of dust. TVs were glitching, not able to see a full screen. Cleanliness was not even considered. The host was terrible to deal with. They sent out maintenance and they came with toxic roach agent and a duster to clean the vents. We did get moved to another location and experience not any better. It appeared luxurious but it is all updated cheap. Roaches appeared again! Lights not working, downstairs room smelled like spoiled mildew rotten horrible. Black mold on vents. The hot tube black mold and dirty. This company not sorry and not wanting to refund anything. Have a really stressful job and this was supposed to be a relaxing vacation but instead of relaxing we were not relaxed from roaches and horrible experience. What a waste of time and money

  We enjoyed this lovely condo. The location is just steps from the beach and very convenient. The decor is great, modern and fun without the cliché beachy vibe. The unit was very quiet, we couldn’t hear the renters in the other 2 units. The primary bedroom/bathroom is especially nice with a beautiful walk in shower, sitting spot for make up, and a bidet. Beds were comfortable to sleep in, on the low side if that is a concern. The kitchen is fully equipped with a cute coffee corner and beautiful mugs. Nice outdoor space that has lawn, and is fenced in and private. Fire pit wasn’t functioning when we were there, but the host was very communicative about it. While most of the house feels brand new, the outdoor and living room furniture and rug are showing some wear which is to be expected in a rental that allows pets and is likely rented often. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog to such a nice place so the minimal wear and tear didn’t bother us a bit! We had a great stay and would definitely choose Sea Mountain Vacations again.
