  Scott was an answer to my prayers. When my disability insurance company wanted to stop my benefits after 2 years, I looked for a disability attorney to help me appeal the decision. I discovered that what I really needed was an ERISA attorney to help with my appeal. My first phone conversation with Scott lasted more than 2 hours. He walked me through the entire process that day, set my mind at ease, and gave me a perspective that didn't make me feel like a victim. As it turned out I had approached him at the best moment in my struggle with the insurance company. By having Scott write the appeal to the insurance company, we got everything in the record that was needed to file in court if our appeal was denied. I was so impressed with how he gave so much thought to the best strategy and argument for our appeal. He videotaped my mobility issues, and had me discuss how my live had changed. With his help I was able to receive a year of back payments from the point I was denied benefits, and received future benefits until I reach retirement age. I highly recommend Scott E. Shaffman to anyone needing help with employee retirement or health plans issues.
