  We have used Schlievert Plumbing several times in the past and have been very happy with them. However, two weeks ago I noticed our water heater was leaking again from the bottom of the tank. I called on a Thursday morning around 8:45 and talked with someone and explained the problem. She said she would need to look at the schedule and talk to someone and get back to me about when they could come out. That afternoon at 4:00 I had not head from them so I gave them a call, no one answered so I had to leave a voicemail. Called again on Friday morning, and Friday afternoon leaving voicemails each time. I called again shortly after 4:00 on Friday as I was worried the water heater was going to bust and we would be without water for the weekend. The message said they were closed and if it was an emergency to select "x" number. At this point I was pretty upset with the lack of communication so I hit the number and got the on call guy. I explained the situation to him and he couldn't understand why they hadn't called me back yet either. Two weeks later and I still have not heard back from them after 5 messages. Luckily I gave up and called Golden Rule and they came out the same afternoon I called them and got me taken care of. But wait there is more to the story. Back in 2023 we had Schlievert replace a water heater under warranty and they said they could replace both because if one went, the other was likely not far behind so we purchased a second (labor would be less if both installed at same time). One new one was manufactured in 2023, the other in 2019 (4 years before install). Both showed rust at the bottom and the 2019 one is the one that went bad this time. We called attention to it at that time and they said it was fine. Needless to say, we won't be calling these guys back.

  We’ve used Schlievert for decades for everything from the faucet replacement today to whole house water line replacement, new connections for water and sewer from our house to the street, water heaters, new toilets, bathroom remodels, kitchen remodel, and more. Excellent service throughout. Ownership changed a couple years ago and the quality of service remains strong. Emily is the heart with her knowledgeable advice. All technicians skilled. Small, locally owned. Highly recommend.

  Call Schlievert and ask for Tim - he's the best. He's been doing plumbing for over 30 years and seems to have seen and done just about everything many times. He follows my model for successful customer service: get in, get out and get invoiced. These guys are knock-out artists with all things plumbing and it's because of people like Tim.
