So did the other women in the lobby. We were all horrified. I got up off the bench and banged on the door asking what was happening. In that whole time my dog was still screaming. The person doing the grooming came out with my dog and said with black nails sometimes they can't tell if they are maybe burning them with the Dremel? I cancelled my membership because I don't pay someone to traumatize and hurt my dog. I had only used the membership this one time and I immediately canceled. I requested a refund of my $75 fee. I paid $75 to have my dog traumatized! I was ignored. This is Brit Hope and my transaction was May 27th. Send a refund and only hire employees who are trained how to cut nails without causing pain to animals!

My dog is BIG! How much does it cost for them?
Our Basic Hygiene package — bath, ear cleaning, nail trim, and teeth brushing — is the same price for pups of every breed, age, and size. Additional services like a haircut or blow-dry are based on dog size and coat length, density, and condition.
Do you have any breed restrictions?
Nope! We provide services for all breeds, and our Basic Hygiene package is the same price for all dogs. However, the safety of both the animals in our care and our staff is our top priority and we reserve the right to refuse service based on aggressive behavior.
Do you groom cats?
No, we are zeroed in on the needs of our canine companions, so we don't offer any services for cats.
What services do you provide?
Our Basic Hygiene package is an efficient but thorough while-you-wait service that includes a bath, ear cleaning, nail clip and teeth brushing. We also offer blow-drying, haircuts, and additional services such as gland expression, shedding, plaque reduction and flea/tick treatments.
Is there an extra cost for blow-drying?
Our Basic Hygiene package is designed to keep time and costs down for our customers and therefore includes a towel-dry only. Some breeds don't need a blow-dry, and you should only pay for what you need! Prices of additional services, like a blow-dry and brush-out, are based on dog size and coat length, density, and condition.
Does my dog need grooming?
While not all breeds need haircuts, all dogs need routine care to stay clean and healthy! Regular bathing, brushing, ear cleaning, nail clipping, and dental care are critical to your dog's comfort and well-being and are essential to their overall health.
Can my dog get a haircut too?
We divide our services into three parts — bath, haircut, and blow-dry — so you only pay for what you need! Additional services like The Barber Package (brush-out, blow-dry, pad trim, sanitary trim, and haircut) are based on dog size, coat length, density, and condition.
Why is there a membership?
A monthly routine breeds familiarity with the process, the facility, and our staff, significantly improving a dog's experience.
Regular appointments also make it easier for our staff to closely monitor the dog and identify changes in their health — like hot spots, fleas, ear infections and any other visible issues.
As a Care Club Member, you get a 25% discount on all additional services, like blow-drying and haircuts. And, with no contract or long-term commitment, you can cancel anytime.
We'll stay on top of your dog's basic grooming needs, which means one less thing for you to worry about!
My dog doesn't like baths or nail clipping -- can you handle them?
Our experienced technicians are skilled at managing challenging behavior and are trained in positive reinforcement techniques to help create the most comfortable experience possible.
Our Monthly Care Club is a good solution for dogs with fear or anxiety around routine care. We have found that the more frequently dogs visit our Scenter, the more comfortable and trusting they become. Our dog-loving, compassionate team knows that building trust takes time and patience, but it's the absolute best way to win over a reactive or uncooperative pup.
We do our best to complete services while respecting what is safest for your dog and our team. The health and safety of dogs in our care are our #1 priority; if your pup gets too stressed out, we will take a break or, in extreme cases, stop services entirely.
Can I watch and/or stay with my dog during services?
We understand why you'd want to, especially if you have an anxious pup, but we do not allow dog parents to observe or participate in services — here's why. Many dog parents feel that their dog is more comfortable with them around or that they can be of help, but the opposite is usually the case. When one of our technicians works with your dog, they do so on an intensive, one-on-one basis to assert calm, secure energy and establish a relationship. If mom or dad is standing right there, your pup will look to you for direction and will not be as responsive when we give commands or maneuver them around as necessary.
Most of the time, the parent is more nervous than the dog! And your pup feeds off your anxious energy and body language. The best thing you can do is be a calm and assertive leader — walk in the door holding the leash loosely, shoulders relaxed, and confidently turn them over for their basic hygiene and routine grooming.
