Santa Monica Pet Medical Center has been serving the Westside since 1961. Our doctors and senior staff have been with us, on average, for over 15 years. That's experience and dedication that you're not going to find at any other hospital.
We only schedule 30 minute appointments so that you and your doctor can have a complete, un-rushed conversation about your pet's health.
We are family owned and operated. That means that we make our own decisions about what treatment plans to offer, what referral hospitals and expert doctors to refer cases to and what products to carry. Corporate hospitals don't have that luxury - what they offer, where they refer to and what they carry are dicated to them by corporate headquarters - not by what is best for the patient.

About 30 percent more than my previous provider, which I only changed due to moving. Maybe they are pricing for the area, or assume everyone going here is affluent, or their own lease went up that drastically. Either way it does feel overpriced, with high pressure upsales, rather than clearly explaining process/ procedure along with reason for high price. I've also read some of the responses to other criticism. Whoever responds send overly defensive, rather than offering an empathetic or understanding response. Constructive criticism is a good thing. It can help a buisness.
