We offer not just a place to live, but a place to thrive—where each day brings new experiences, friendships, and the reassurance of belonging.
Epic fail if you come here to entertain, especially when you’re a musician.
I am a member of a small combo, and we entertained the residents once a month for years. This year, we were cut back to four times a year. A new activities director wanted to “try out other options”.
When we showed up for our first job under the new regime, we found out that we had been canceled, because they had “something going” at that time. They rescheduled dates, then complained because we didn’t show up on the original dates.
The rest of the dates were confirmed, then abruptly cancelled without explanation a couple weeks later. I’m done with this “Christian” train wreck.

If you are looking for a place for your loved one to be safe and truly cared for, then St Mary's of the Woods is just that place. My Mom had her PT and OT therapy at St Mary's after two separate hospital stays. I cannot say enough about the staff and care that the facility has provided to my Mom. In addition to the care, the rooms are very nice and the facility is super clean and well maintained. And, unlike other facilities, the food is the best in town and you actually have selections to pick from rather than just having one food option for everyone. Like I shared with a staff member, when my Mom came back for her second stay at St Mary's it felt like "coming home" and has become a safe haven for my Mom. St Mary's truly cares about their patients and residents like they are family.

Tuesday, July 1, Bishop Malesic celebrated Mass here at Saint Therese at Saint Mary of the Woods. The Bishop received the same welcome all residents do! Hospitality was extended to all and the team worked and served all residents and guests with great care. Maintenance and Housekeeping continue to make the building shine like a diamond. Chef Morris and his staff provided an excellent reception for the residents and guests. A great and prayerful day for all. Truly a day where faith was the source of our community.

How is memory care different than traditional long term care?
The first thing you’ll notice is the secured entry to Saint Therese memory care neighborhoods, encompassed outdoor spaces and that the safety of all our residents is top priority.
Just like within traditional long-term care, employees serve memory care neighborhoods 24/7 but the provided care is highly personalized and specialized—and that requires a few more helping hands. Saint Therese memory care employees receive ongoing training and education so each are prepared to appropriately respond to dementia-related symptoms like agitation, wandering or sundowning.
In addition, scheduled memory care activities and events are designed to engage, stimulate and socialize residents living with moderate to late-stage dementia.
How do I know if my loved one needs memory care?
As we age, we become more forgetful. Mild change is a normal part of the aging process. When memory loss is not manageable by making simple concessions like forming lists, keeping a calendar or retracing steps, there may be cause for concern.
If you notice a loved one’s well-being is potentially in jeopardy—unpaid bills piling up, he or she gets lost behind the wheel or you’ve considered unhooking the stove —give us a call.
When my loved one resides in your secured memory care neighborhood, can I pick them up for a day trip or off site family event?
Absolutely. A residency at Saint Therese is designed to ensure you have more opportunities to socialize and connect with your loved one. Whereas there are some reasonable guidelines we ask family members to consider, we encourage loved ones to remain an active source of support and in our residents’ lives.
I am caring for my loved one at home. Do you offer caregivers any resources?
We’re here for you. We have a number of resources you can benefit from. Saint Therese has support groups as well as a robust pastoral care program available to you for free.
If you’re considering senior living as the next chapter, our respite care is offered in our residences for up to four weeks. This short-term stay supports caregiver vacations, assists in transitions to a new lifestyle as a member of a Saint Therese community, and acts as a perfect “trial run” to ensure Saint Therese senior living is the best next step.
What kind of innovative dementia / memory care programs do you offer?
Can my loved one choose an apartments now and then later move into the secured memory care neighborhood when their dementia progresses?
Yes. That’s exactly why Saint Therese offers a continuum of care. Saint Therese has memory care for seniors who prefer a private apartment setting. Those living with early to moderate-stages of dementia find apartment living provides freedom to do more every day in a worry-free setting.
