We tried the falafel and chicken shawarma and they were both good. I could tell the shawarma wasn’t very authentic and made on the grill but it was okay. The price was very reasonable.

This is the best Mediterranean grill we have ever tried!!! We were going back to Illinois from Kentucky and suddenly discovered this hidden gem as we were looking something closer to Highway. We tried the mix grill and chicken shawrma. If you are up for taste, go for it. I am not a foddie but I really ENJOYED the food!!!

I’m from NYC and I’ve eaten Mediterranean food at some suburb restaurants. I must say…this place is not good. Mediterranean food is full of flavors…I don’t know what this place is but Mediterranean it is not. Platter was enough rice for 5 people, 1 dry chicken kabob, and soggy salad. Literally water was pooled in the container. I ordered a side of tabouleh and if there were other ingredients in it, they were getting their ass kicked because all I could taste was parsley. Also, roughly chopped pickles in tabouleh? I’ve never had that before. Is that a thing? The only thing good was the pita bread. Spent $30 on dinner and ended up tossing it and eating leftovers from yesterday’s dinner. Again, this place is NOT GOOD.

    > I went to Safier excited to finally try their shawarma after seeing so many good reviews, but my experience was really disappointing from start to finish. When I got to the counter, I learned they only had one meat available — chicken. No beef at all, even though their menu clearly lists two options. I asked about it and the cashier was curt and unhelpful, which set the tone for the visit. I decided to try the chicken shawarma sandwich anyway, expecting the usual fresh veggies and sauces. What I got was a very dry pile of chicken with some sauce inside pita bread — no lettuce, tomato, or pickles at all, despite what their own menu shows. The chicken itself tasted overcooked and bland, and without the vegetables it felt heavy and unbalanced. For a place that’s supposed to specialize in shawarma, this was really underwhelming. I’ve honestly had better shawarma at mall food courts where I went in with low expectations. I left feeling like I’d wasted both my money and a meal. I hope they take feedback seriously, because right now Safier isn’t living up to its reputation. Also place was dirty! Lets hope the owner steps it up.
