We walked in and were greeted by a waiter who literally couldnât understand why we were there. Having now had dinner here we canât either. I finally got annoyed enough with his âconfusionâ that I recited the name and address of the restaurant to him and asked is that where I am. He said yes, so I responded âthen Iâm here for dinner, is that a problem?!â We asked for the heat to be medium and the food was barely even mild. The âlambâ is not lamb, itâs stringy mutton. Overall the place might be good for a quick carryout after work when youâre hungry and donât want to cook. Other than that the place is not worth the visit and itâs relatively expensive, which just adds insult to injury.

My favorite Indian spot in the city. If you like Indian food, youâll love this place â itâs clean and adds a bit of a bougie touch. Tried the biryani, which was fantastic, and the lamb korma was very flavorful. Itâs a bit on the pricey side for Indian food, but definitely worth it.

Formerly known as MOOD, I'm not sure if it's the same owners but it's still Indian cuisine and the food, atmosphere and service are still dynamite! I had the lamb roganjosh with garlic naan and papri chaat and my wife had butter chicken with spinach and cheese naan. The spinach and cheese naan is spectacular! The sauce used for the roganjosh was delectable and excellent for dipping the naan. The papri chaat was a new and different experience. Cold dish, not a bad flavor. Tastes like a nice party appetizer Oliver Putnam might spring for if he were entertaining Mata Hari.đ Great choice for a date night whether a first date or not. It's also a short brisk walk from Weckerly ice cream shop to which we did go for dessertđ. We will be returning so I can try their fish dish and more of that spinach and cheese naan. Maybe even some lasi. The presentation of everything was to notch. Separately plated for those who don't like their food to touch. We were actually asked if we were ready for our entrees instead of them just being brought out with the appetizers. Though I enjoy music while dining out, there was no music playing, just the blend of dinner conversations. It's a bit smaller than the previous incarnation because they extended the wall by the restroom but it's still a quaint space. The mustard yellow color scheme ties everything together well. Staff was attentive yet not overbearing and while I miss the hot pepper chart that used to be on the wall which gauged the heat with which you could order your dishes, staff still asked how hot you would like your food. We took a small amount to go and were brought sturdy heated plastic containers like the kind you get from Chinese takeout places and foil for the naan which was ever so thoughtful. Saffron will ever continue to earn my money for Indian cuisine.
