Price was decent, unless you factor in windshield side trim that wasn't replaced, sealer on the headliner and a broken wiper arm the tech tried to glue back together

Great experience and great job. The tech called before coming. Explained what he was doing, completed the job in a timely manner. We are very satisfied.

I scheduled a windshield replacement online with the option to drop off at the business opening and pick the vehicle up at the close of business on the same day. I picked an open date on the website. I brought the car to the facility at 8:30 AM on that date and was told I'd get called or texted updates throughout the day. I heard nothing from them all day. Upon trying to call the local shop, all calls were routed to the national Safelite computer automated phone system, so there was no way to contact the local shop in Pearl to get an update on my vehicle. I went to get the vehicle at 4:30 PM, and the car had not been moved from the parking spot where I left it at 8:30 AM. Needless to say, with the business closing at 5pm, the windshield was not replaced. I'd avoid Safelite at all costs if possible.

They had the mobile service free that day so I had a tech come to my house. They sent a young man alone with no ladder and substandard glass as his very first solo mobile job to replace a huge conversion van windshield in 100+ degree weather. He was a nice guy and I have only good things to say about his dedication and efforts. I was not so impressed with management for the situation. First he said the glass was scuffed and they could offer me a substantial discount if I was willing to accept it. Otherwise I could wait for someone to deliver a better piece of glass. The flaw was minimal so I accepted the discount. A few minutes later he knocked on the door and said the glass had shattered while he was trying to install it (probably the intense heat which had concerned me initially). He said the glue was still wet and they would have to leave it as-is and I would need to reschedule next week for a replacement. I went out to see and it was DESTROYED glass! I could feel the cracks from the INSIDE of my van! In the heatwave, I imagined it would all finish shattering inward on me as I drove. Not to mention it has rained heavily every day of the week. I insisted they could NOT leave me vehicle like that, not even overnight, much less all week. It was a full half (passenger side) of the glass that looked like it had been hit by a train. He called the manager and they said they could not send anyone out with more glass and they could not send him an assistant. I had already loaned him a ladder and tried to help him with the broken glass. The poor guy was stuck at my house (and my day was shot as well) from noon to 5pm! Finally the manager arrived around 4:30 with the replacement glass but did not stay to help him. He did manage to complete the job and he did a good job. I later received an invoice for the full amount (no discount). Though I ended up with glass that was not the scuffed piece I had agreed to, I still felt I should have received a discount for all the aggravation and wasting my entire afternoon. The following day I received an email showing that they had indeed honoured the discount after the fact. So I would say it was a mixed bag type of experience this go round. I have used this same branch of Safelite for all my vehicles over a 10 year period and have never had any complaints. I would probably still recommend them. This just wasn't a top drawer experience for anyone involved.
