- BCBrig Cooley6 days ago5.0I have been looking all over the Bay Area for a well kept Marina like the ones that you routinely find in Southern California. Safe Harbor Marina Village in Alameda is that place. It was recently acquired by the Safe Harbor group. They always do a great job with improving the Marinas that they own and manage. I am in the camp that loves the way they keep their Marinas and the amenities that they provide. My wife and I currently are members of Safe Harbor and keep our boat in the Ventura Isle Marina in Ventura California. Fact is, I was depressed at continuing to visit Bay Area Marinas that were unsafe, were located in areas without restaurants or grocery stores, or had other troublesome issues. When I visited, I talked with Jaria who answered all of my questions and allowed me to look at a slip or two.
