I'm sharing my experience with his location while I wait for the branch manager to call me. This branch has been my auto and home provider for roughly the last 4 years. I purchased a new vehicle and called to get a quote on the vehicle and check pricing. I was at the time going to shop the quote and the agent over the phone knew this. I found some quotes slightly lower but because they have been my provider for my home and it wasn't much of a difference I decided to stick with this State Farm location. I was given a monthly amount of $150 for my vehicle after making some changes to coverage. The person of the phone Mitch sent me over the contract for the policy and I signed it and took care of
It 8/1. This was on a Friday later in the day and he said that he wasn't able to send me temporary cards because for some reason it wasn't showing him the information but he assured me I was fully covered and that he would call me back Monday 8/4 to send cards.
He sent me cards 8/6 and basically left me with here's your cards you're all good to go sorry it took so long. Which I have the email. Never once did he decide to tell me that my rate changed or was now $191 now. When I noticed a week later the amount in my State Farm app I called in and spoke with Pam with customer service and she looked into it and told me that she saw the quote for $150 but seen there was some changes when process processing through underwriting for a new amount of $191 this was never told to me by Mitchell and to now come to find out. It was very upsetting when they could've been upfront with me on the changes or the price.
Pam had told me that she would have the office manager Jeannie call me after she looked into it herself given the situation of being quoted Won price and now all of a sudden changed to another. It took a few days before I received a call back from the office manager where she tried to explain to me that my policy renewed on August 2 and that unfortunately the price the sales person gave me was for August 1 to August 2 one single day at the rate of $150 a month.
I found this to be completely ridiculous that not only did they change the rate on me but quoted me $150 a month for six months then changed it on me . Why not just be upfront with me and tell me that my policy will renew in one day and this will actually be your rate $191 instead. I feel as though that was very shady practice, and seems as though they were trying to fool me into a new policy instead of giving me the decency as a consumer to maybe find a better price elsewhere.
After speaking with Jeannie, the office manager, she took a look at the notes, heard my side of how I felt. This is all been handled and said that she will send up a claim to underwriting to make adjustments based on a salesperson error. From what I'm told the gentleman Mitch that originally took care of my quote and contract policy no longer works for this location which may or may not be the truth. My problem comes now with the office manager reaching out to me and telling me that my policy will be changed to $150 and that it will take underwriting 3 to 5 days to correct this, and that I will receive a credit for the overage amount that I paid for the month of September
Well, that was not the case I waited 10 days saw no change in my rate called in to this location asked to speak to Jeannie. She was in a meeting. Did not bother to call me back later that day or the next day it took me calling in that following Monday to get a hold of her so she could tell me that unfortunately underwriting isn't changing my policy anymore after she had PROMISED me over the phone. She said that the $150 rate I was given for six months was actually just for one day and that my new rate is going to stand at $191. At the end of the day this branch has no accountability.
I'll wait for Ryan Williams to give me a call back so he can hear my concerns about how everything has been handled not only from the insurance sales representative but also from the office customer service and management.
