Looking for an eye care center with the most advanced treatments for LASIK eye correction, cataract removal surgery, glaucoma treatment, dry eye, or other eye problems? It’s more than just about 20/20 vision at Roholt Vision Institute. The eye doctors here are passionate about providing personalized and compassionate care. With practices in Canfield, Alliance and Canton, our commitment to innovative technology, continued analysis of surgical outcomes, advanced staff training, and a caring attitude combine to make Roholt Vision the best choice. Founder Dr. Philip Roholt is a vision doctor committed to introducing the latest innovative eye care technology and equipment. This eye dr is the first in Ohio to invest in the Teneo Excimer Laser. The laser is the first to be approved by the FDA for LASIK eye surgery in 17 years. Performed in a state-of-the-art surgery suite, the procedure works faster and with greater precision than other lasers. And since it reduces the time the cornea flap is raised during surgery, patients can expect better outcomes. LASIK is just one of the refractive surgeries we offer that will decrease your dependency on glasses or contact lenses. So, if you are told you are not a candidate for LASIK, we have other options that can improve your vision. To address the condition of dry eyes, we introduced Envision, a groundbreaking nonsurgical modality that stimulates the subdermal layers of the periorbital region and unclogs meibomian glands to produce and secrete more tears. A programmable, handheld applicator uses bipolar radio frequency. You can have a consultation for refractive procedures or Envision at our Canfield practice and then they would be performed in a dedicated surgery suite within the main Canton location. Our team of eye doctors, comprised of ophthalmologists and optometrists, is passionate about achieving the best results possible for patients. They excel in comprehensive vision tests and eyeglass exams, regular eye exams and diabetic eye exams on patients ranging from school-age children to seniors. The practice also carries lines of clinical strength at-home products to ease symptoms of dry eyes, including Bruder Moist Heat Eye Compresses, Omega supplements and Nordic Naturals supplements. I read through some of the review and the reviews with one star seemed to be mostly over waiting times and appointment scheduling. While this is unfortunate, this is what happens in our medical system today and is probably not specific to Roholt. My experience with Roholt Vision Institute and specifically Dr. Young has been outstanding. I had cataract surgery in both eyes and the follow up to the surgery was excellent. My vision was very good after the surgery but he thought my vision needed small corrections and Dr. Young was attentive, skillful and personal. He corrected my vision to 20/20. I continue to go to Roholt for all of my eye issues. Just an outstanding place.

I had SMILE surgery in November, biggest mistake of my life. I originally was told at my preop consult that surgery would be on a Friday and I would be back to work and all good on Monday. I was putting drops in my eyes every 5 minutes for 2 months to get moments of some clear vision. 4 months later and still using drops daily, warm compresses and prescription drops for dry eye. Left eye still not clear. Life was WAY easier when I wore contacts or glasses. Not only am a spending $ to treat my eyes, it’s time consuming. I have floaters now when I don’t before. I really don’t think they explain the real risks of these procedures. I was told less than 2% have issues and those issues can be corrected. I was not told what all that would entail. If your glasses and contacts aren’t causing you issues, save your money and protect your vision.

I called to set up an initial appointment and was left in hold for 20 minutes. Not a very good first impression.
