Rented here a few weeks back and although the prices seemed a little high the person on the phone was very friendly and helpful so I went ahead and got a unit as I was new to town and needed a place to store some of my belongings.
Fast forward two weeks later. I was bringing a trailer load down of large items and had someone lined up to meet me at the unit to help unload. On the way from Dallas I get a call that my 17 year old son was involved in a car accident. Luckily he was okay but I had to turn around and go back to Forney to make sure he was okay and to work out the insurance / police details.
Once I was able to get back on the road I tried my best to make it before the 9PM gate closing deadline. I arrived at 9:10 and the gate was closed. I called the number on the chance that someone may answer who could help me but full well thinking I would get a voice mail. Well a voice mail would have been much appreciated next to the person who answered. I tried to explain the situation and ask if there was a code that could get me in the gate. All I was told (in a very angry voice) is "It's 9:15 on a Sunday night are you kidding me? There's no way I'm coming up there, we open at 7AM tomorrow." So I will be up there at 7AM tomorrow to clean out my place and move it somewhere else. I only hope that this person and business isn't a reflection of Robinson as a whole or I may have made the wrong decision to relocate here.
Avoid this place at all costs.
BTW, when I called to see if they had any units available they told me they had only 5. There are 5 in my building alone that do not have locks on them. My guess is there are at least 50 units that are empty but you know....advertising.
