Absolutely awful experience — beware of employee named Craig.
I initially came into the shop to replace my bike tire. I agreed to pay $55 for the replacement, and everything seemed fine at first. Later, I called the shop and simply asked if Craig could help me tighten my brakes a little — a very basic request.
That’s when things went downhill fast.
Instead of a helpful response, Craig told me my bike “had no brakes” — which is completely untrue. I know my bike, and it was clear to me he was trying to scare me into paying more. He first said it would cost $130 to “fix” the brake issue, then suddenly dropped the price to $80, which made everything feel even more suspicious. The whole situation seemed like a money grab.
Craig’s attitude was rude, dismissive, and aggressive throughout. It felt like he had no intention of actually helping — just manipulating the situation to charge me as much as possible. I ended up leaving the shop with no functioning brakes, even though I only came in to fix a tire. It was an extremely frustrating and frankly dangerous experience.
Afterwards, I called back and spoke to another employee, Rob, who was much more respectful. He offered to have me come back and said he would try to fix the brakes properly. While I appreciated his attitude, the damage was already done — Craig’s behavior was completely unacceptable, and I refuse to return.
This whole experience was a waste of time and money, and worse, it left my bike in worse condition than when I brought it in.
Do not trust Craig. His tactics are shady, and his behavior is unprofessional. If you care about your bike — and your safety — go somewhere else. I truly regret walking into that shop.
