Others mileage may vary with this company, but we had a guy come out a month ago, added refrigerant and a new filter, and said we had a leak but no rush to fix it, seemed like nothing major. He Said they can’t fix on emergency calls. Well we scheduled the leak to be fixed, same guy comes back out, 6+ hours late with no apology or explanation, and says the leak that was there isn’t leaking afterall like he had thought it was, and that we are out of refrigerant again. Then without actually looking, he says the leak is “probably” our coil and need a new $6500 unit installed, that’s convenient. Didn’t explain much else, didn’t actually do anything to identify or fix the leak, didn’t go into any detail and was overall very nonchalant about it. We scheduled it initially but after much debate, my gut told me that guy can’t be trusted and we cancelled. The fact he was assuming the leak and saying the only option was replacing the unit, after flip flopping on what he said the first time just didn’t sit well with me.
Got another company out to us, got a second opinion and they saw the leak immediately that the guy said wasn’t there like he thought the first time, fixed the leak, and also said we still had refrigerant it was just low, not out like the other guy said.
My review is more on the guy they sent out to us both times rather than the company itself, he never gave his name sadly was an older guy, I hope other employees for this company are more honest and thorough than he was/is for the sake of their customers.
