If you are on probation go with a different company for your freedom sake💯 The logs and pictures for the month don’t get uploaded automatically to your service station. I was told that the court didn’t receive ANYTHING when I blew every day, you can never get a human representative when you call and when you do they never answer your question directly because they barley speak English. If you don’t want unnecessary stress and or If you have a strict judge im telling you now go with a different company.

Intoxalock will “quote” you a monthly cost. Yet there are HIDDEN fees! There is a registration fee but a separate fee for merchandise to be installed. They will offer a “coupon”/rebate to only take it back stating you missed a blow. They do not have you calibrate 1x a month; it can be 2x. You those fees are determined by who you go to get it read $15-$95. Therefore overall you are paying, Intoxalock (double $) with calibration fees upto $95 per visit. Customer service is rude on the phone, trouble tickets never go in your favor only the company. I would happily take accountability if I did wrong but over charging & lying to people to get them to install your product is where I cross the line!

Frequently Asked Questions About RoadGuard Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

When you start your vehicle, you have to blow into a mouthpiece that’s connected to the ignition interlock device, sometimes called an in-car breathalyzer. The interlock device will then measure your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) and automatically determine whether your BrAC is low enough to allow the car to start. Any test you take, whether pass or fail, will be reported to your monitoring authority.

How much does an ignition interlock device cost?

Ignition interlock device costs vary because each state has different pricing regulations and device technology requirements. But in general, you can expect to pay between $50 and $150 to install the interlock device depending on vehicle type. After the initial interlock installation, you are required to pay a monthly rental or lease fee. On average, the cost to rent or lease an interlock device is between $50 and $150 per month.
