  Today was my first day getting out and actually physically going shopping so I had a blast shopping for clothes and shopping at Bath and Bodyworks. There’s a special associate that I want to give a shout out to Valecia really helped when checking out with my items. She helped me look for coupons on the app, and my freebie I had that was available. Oh and the ladies at Torrid was awesome as well. Just giving me the confidence and reassurance of treating myself. They also were amazing with clearance rack of clothes. So to sum it up. We had fun just getting out the house and spending some family time at the Riverchase Galleria

  This place is skibidi! On fleek! Awesome! Amazing! Ok, beyond the silly overplayed adjectives, I was honestly impressed with the breadth of chain stores and other shopping options, especially considering it is 2025 and every other mall I’ve visited recently is on life support. It’s clean. Considering its history, Riverchase feels extremely safe today. There are security guards at each entrance. Inside parking is amazing. A perfect spot for Christmas shopping, or a leisurely climate-controlled walk. Not sure what idiots decided that outdoor malls make more sense, BUT THEY DON’T. I hate to hear that it may be converted into apartments. Save the malls!

I was shopping for my 6 kids back home in Florida, taking pictures and videos to send them so they could pick what they wanted — just a proud mom spending her money here. Then a security guard came up to me and told me it’s mall policy that I can’t record or even take pictures — not even of my baby. I told him, “No wonder people don’t spend money here.” I returned everything I had just bought and decided I’d rather spend my money somewhere that actually welcomes customers. Such a shame because it really is a nice mall, but ridiculous rules like this are exactly what turn people away. I can only imagine how many others have been told the same thing and chose to shop elsewhere. They already have so many empty spaces and shut-down stores. They must not realize that the biggest impact today comes from photos and videos — that’s literally how people discover new places! The only reason I stepped into this mall was because of pictures and videos I’d seen online. Without that, I would’ve stayed in my hotel room at the Hyatt connected to it and just ordered online. Support the people spending money, not push them away. Do better, Riverchase!
