  River Street Sweets has been my favorite candy store since I was a little girl. So many wonderful memories with my family have been created through this store. I was super excited when I learned there was a location at The Battery. Not only do we go for the pralines, but Cecil (our nickname for him is “Shift Leader”) truly creates an unforgettable experience every single time. His infectious personality, quick sense of humor, and genuine customer care brighten the entire atmosphere. Sometimes we stop by not just for the sweets, but simply because we know Cecil will make us smile. It’s rare to meet someone who can turn an ordinary stop into the highlight of your day, but Cecil does it effortlessly. His energy, kindness, and laughter remind us that great customer service isn’t just about the product. It’s about the people. Cecil, you deserve every bit of recognition (and a raise!) for the joy and peace you bring to your customers. Keep making people smile, because you never know, you may be the only bit of happiness someone experiences that day. River Street Sweets is lucky to have you, and so are we as customers!

  We were there and it wasn’t busy, we had a good time looking into everything they had to offer. This is a perfect place for people with sweet tooth. Since it was a hot day, we chose ice cream. I got the coffee flavor ice cream and it was creamy, not too sweet and coffee flavor was on point. My little one got raspberry sorbet, she loved it.

  The service my friend and received from Cecil was extremely professional. That was our first time in the store and he answered our questions and the pralines were wonderful.

  Cecil is an awesome and kind representative for River Street Sweets. The pralines reminded me of my hometown Savannah, Georgia. Thank you Cecil!! Keep up the good work

  Came in on Monday 9/7/25, it was my first time visiting. With some much options i became overwhelmed. I guess the employee who looked like she was count items, maybe doing inventory, realized i was overwhelmed. Because she stop what she was doing and approached me and asked if this was my first time in. She then took the time explain the concept of River Street Sweets, and she let me sample a few items. She asked me about my taste buds and suggested a few things. I ended up purchasing, Blueberry DC Truffles, DC Almond Clusters, DC Almond Bear Claw, and a bag of caramel popcorn. Everything she suggested was amazing! I am writing this review because I haven’t experienced this kind of customer service in such a long time. She was so patient, polite, and genuine. Our interaction took almost 35mins, and I apologize multiple times for being so difficult and indecisive. She reassured me that it’s okay and completely fine. She would once said, “I was a customer before I was an employee! “ I was so amazed by her customer service that I asked another employee if i could speak to the manager and so I can let them know how well of an employee she was. The employee let me that she was the Store Manager. I was so shocked that a Store Manager was so humble and that she never once mentioned her title. So, to Jede from River Street Sweets at The Battery ! Thank you for making my day so great!
