I like this course. The price is affordable and they keep it well maintained. Best to get out early. Some of the trees need to be trimmed because they hang over the fairway on some holes. I'm sure they will cut them,... I hope Update: The bunkers today were terrible. I dare someone to play out of them. C'mon River Oaks, step it up. I still enjoyed the course minus the bunkers. 😡

Really fun course. Shorter but challenging. Greens are fast but in very good shape and outside of the bunkers and a hole or two here and there the course is really nice. Sand would go a long way. Staff in the shop and on course are exceptional and welcoming. Will be back.

The staff is great and they do a thorough inspection of your car. Stop by and give them a try. Labor is $110 an hour, just an FYI.

Lester (the starter) has to go! VERY slow rounds and not enough carts to fill the weekend round. Expect to wait an hour after your tee time to actually tee off. Since Lester started in 2016 as the starter there is exteremly slow pace of place. EXPECT a 4 1/2 - 5 hour round on the weekends after waiting an hour for a cart so 5 1/2 - 6 hour round Example: had a 9am tee time. Showed up at 8:30 and 20-30 people putting (this is the "Sunday money group"). No one on the first hole and three carts being occupied as lawn chairs around the putting green. Lester wouldn't let two people go off before 30 people because "all the carts were on the course" instead if of giving up one of the lawn chair carts before the Sunday crowd so two paying customer could go off. We called Joe Louis and they got us on the course right away Example #2. Last weekend we showed up 30 minutes before our tee time and had to wait an hour for our cart to go off. Course is challenging for what it is but the bunkers are clay not sand. Get a starter who understands pace of play and a ranger to maintain pace of play.
