Great service for years but really it trailed off. Pool pump often left off after service. Chemical spills left on deck, cover left off skimmer etc.. Nothing too major so I thought; the type of thing you can let slide. Just before the close of last season a MAJOR Leak sprung from the newly purchased and installed (within 3 or 4 years?) pool heater. I asked if it could be addressed under some sort of warranty as Pinto sold me and installed the heater, it could not. Then when the pool was closed, my filter pump was put away in my storage which was left open for a rainstorm. Seeing the soaking pump was the last straw. Upon opening the pool this year the new pool co told me there are only two things that could have caused such rapid degradation of the heater 1) poor maintenance of the pH and chemicals in the pool or 2) poor winterization. Either way my new heater which should last decades is totally ruined.
UPDATE after Rick Pinto replied : "You were asked when we first received your account if you wanted a chlorinator, but you didn't, so where were we supposed to put the chlorine?
It's unfortunately the skimmer...and it eventually destroyed the heat exchanger, which we could have repaired"
1) We weren't asked about a chlorinator.
2) Asking ' where were where we supposed to put the chlorine' is something I'd assume a pool professional would know, not the homeowner.
3) Your knowing that densley chlorinated water from the chlorine in the skimmer would destroy the water heater at a vastly accelerated pace THEN DOING IT ANYWAY is as you said you did above, is all anyone reading this review should need to know.
****......UPDATE.......****
To Rick's credit, after some back and forth offline, he has made the repair to the heater.

Been a customer for over ten years. They’ve done several capital improvements and maintenance projects (stairs, heater, deck and painting). Great results and price. Most importantly, they have the pool open when agreed and service it well and punctually. Can’t go wrong!

HIGHLY recommend Rick and his team. They clearly take pride in their craft. It was so refreshing having work done without a headache. Rick (and Lenny) was honest, easy to communicate with and did the job seamlessly.

Very expensive-- charged me for cleaning the pool the day before he closed it then charged me again for the same service the very next day
Just be aware, the pool closing price does not include putting on the cover ---that is an additional expense as is the winterize treatment an additional expensive
