I was told this is one of only two brick and mortar REIs that sell used goods in the entire country. It is worth the trip if you’re remotely in the area because the selection is huge and there are amazing deals. All the supplies are cleaned and inspected beforehand and any “flaws” are noted on the tag. Many items have no flaws; they were just returned. I got a down sleeping bad for $125 that was marked down from $350 retail with no flaws. Definitely check here for sleeping bags, tents, backpacks, and climbing gear before you buy new.

REI Resupply store is a win! I’ve been to this location several times and picked up some really good deals. For example, today I got a pair of darn tough socks for 50% off. I’ve purchased backpacks from here, tents from here, and even found shoes for my son. Everything in the store location is preowned. Most of the gear is in really good condition still. How this works is someone purchased the gear, used it, or not, and then returned it to REI. I love REI philosophy here. Instead of putting all of this used gear into a landfill they’ve created a store like this so that you and I can get great deals on gear that still has life in it.
