    Rei is holding $152,56 of my paypal money captive by not releasing it. I've logged a query with them, and their operators can't help me. Now I have to wait a year before it automatically gets release by paypal. This frustrates me so much! No intelligent support service from REI.COM

    The membership isn’t worth the junk mail they send you. You can get better deals through the manufacturers websites than dealing with rei. I had a tent fail after 2 uses and rei was no help getting it fixed or replaced. The manufacturer sent me a new tent after contacting them.

    The HR department, their I.T. Department and the leadership as a whole should all step down. I am a travel tech in Montana for an I.T. Company who occasionally picks up overflow from another company. I had once such ticket to come work on a server in the Bozeman, MT store. During the course of 2 different visits I had the misfortune of having to call REI's I.T. support and attempt to speak with Vijender Negi (VJ). VJ consistently cut me off mid-sentence, over talked me, insulted my technical skills and yelled at me because I dared to interrupt him while he was talking over me. I filed an official complaint with REI HR and was informed that because I was a vendor and not an employee that nothing would be done. It's good to know the REI does not care about their rude employee's treating vendors however they want. Because of this, I will never work on any system in an REI store again. Good luck with your server.

    REI is really dialing up the aggression on pushing membership. Despite decline interest twice it appears corporate policy dictates ‘the pitch must go on’. Please stop this practice that dehumanizes employees and puts them at odds with customers. REI is already amazons show room, you’re heading the way of Best Buy at this rate.
