  Wow! At the Gainesville store, Austin was amazing in the show department. He was patient, knowledgeable, informative, efficient and very personable. RJ checked us out and was very pleasant too. Great people at a great store! A+++

  Terrible staff. I was there to buy some shoes. I picked out a pair of shoes with the lady that helped me out. I go up to the register. They’ve already asked me to get a membership twice and I kept saying no and the lady at the cash register was acting like she needed to hold me at gunpoint and forcing me to try and get a stupid membership on a place that I’ve never stepped foot in once and it was my only time I was ever gonna step foot in ever again. then the lady at the cash register telling me that I’m definitely gonna need the membership because the shoes that I’m about to purchase are horrible shoes and I’m definitely gonna wanna return them because they suck. even though another lady was helping me out and was telling me that I should get these shoes. I almost walked out of that store with no membership and no freaking shoes! never will return!

  Great experience!! Riley was super helpful, patient and SO knowledgeable about the best brands and styles of shoes to meet my needs and told us about the REI member benefits. And Andrew was also very nice and great at getting me signed up for the membership and checked out. Two awesome, helpful employees in one store - I highly recommend!!

  Been in this store several times. Tried to find 6 different pair of Hokas - not one in my size in stock. Had another customer step in between me and sales person to ask for help and the salesperson left to go help her - never came back. My husband tried to get the attention of another salesperson who was straightening shoes and he just ignored us. Been an REI member for 5 years but I won’t be back to this store.
