At REI, we love to get outside and play, and we know first-hand the importance of quality outdoor gear. We stand behind all our products with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and we design our own line of award-winning REI brand gear and clothing. Whether you're new to outdoor adventure or a seasoned pro, we gladly share our enthusiasm for our products--and the trails, slopes and waterways where we play. Each year, REI donates millions of dollars to support conservation efforts nationwide and sends dedicated teams of volunteers--members, customers and REI employees--to build trails, clean up beaches, restore local habitats and more.... Through responsible business practices across the company, we strive to reduce our environmental footprint. What began as a group of 23 mountain climbing buddies is now the nation's largest consumer cooperative. But no matter how large we grow, our roots remain firmly planted in the outdoors. Our passion for outdoor adventure is clear, whether you visit any of our stores across the country, phone us, or interact with us online. By staying true to our roots, we've earned a place on FORTUNE magazine's list of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" every year since the rankings began in 1998. We work hard to earn our reputation for quality and integrity every day. Our core purpose guides everything we do: we all work to inspire, educate and outfit for a lifetime of outdoor adventure and stewardship.

REI has sadly gone downhill over recent years. This being the closest location to the city of Portland is absolutely bonkers. I used to recommend buying gear from them for years, now they've abandoned the city, so I guess that's a wrap from me as well.

Brought my electric bike in and just needed help getting break system off my back tire and guy refused to help me at all. Wouldn't even tell me how to adjust the breaks or anything, some kind of liability issue and the break system is no different then a regular bike system. Don't go here if you have an electric bike they won't help you they have liability issues.

The staff was very patient in helping me figure out what parts I needed to modify my bicycle. I had no experience in such matters, and they went out of their way to answer my question and to help me figure out what I actually needed. Also their return policy is great.

My absolute go-to store for anything outdoor related. Their return policy is unmatched. I’ve bought so many things here over the decades. Thermal tops and bottoms for working outside. Waterproof jackets, waterproof shoes, kayaks, wool socks… you name it. If you need to keep warm and dry in the PNW winters, this is your store.

We have been in here twice and I’ve found the staff to be very unfriendly both times. This is particularly disappointing as one of the main reasons I’ve continued to shop at REI for years has been because of the service - otherwise why else would I pay more for sometime I can easily find online or used for so much cheaper? This last time we took our kids in to shop for bikes. Our 3 year old went about 5 feet on one of the balance bikes and a crew member came over to tell us we couldn’t ride bikes in the store. Literally the first words out of his mouth. The store was EMPTY and she rode 5 feet! Really dude? How else am I even going to see what size she needs? Off to a real bike shop then! Bye Felicia!
