I had my bike serviced here as I am a member and wanted to take advantage of their discounts. I called a day or 2 before I brought it in to be serviced just to gather information before I come in. I dropped it off a few days later and expected a phone call either that day or a couple days later. I end up calling them Friday afternoon of the same week I dropped it off and was told that they are 5 weeks behind on services repairs and if I didn't want to wait I should take my bike somewhere else. I thought the tech had a bad attitude but at the same time I wasnt in a rush to have it fixed so I decided to be patient and wait. A month goes by without a single call. I call im to get an update only to find it hasn't even been touched. The guy on the phone told me their only tech who works on the bikes wouldn't be in till noon and that he would speak to him to find out why it wasnt worked on. A little while later that employee , not the tech, called me back and said that his tech and the manger tried to reach me a few time but we're unable to reach me. I asked what number did they use to call me on , store number or personal and the employee said our guys never call customer's on personal phones and I said well I have no missed calls or VM from this store number so this doesn't make sense. If they were trying to call me what was the inquiry for and why wasnt that reported on the open ticket in your system? The employee didnt have an answer for that but said look there was a miscommunication but I will have the tech jump on it now. It was repaired that day and I picked the bike up the following sunday. Now the condition of my bike when I got it was both tires were flat , I assume from sitting so long but idk and the derailer is shifting very clunky. It was as if they installed the new cable for derailer but didnt adjust or tune it. Now I have to do it myself or take it somewhere else. I would not recommend taking your bike to be serviced here at all. I am new to modern cycling and I do not have a proper setup at home to hang my bike so that I can adjust it myself other wise I probably wouldnt need to take to a shop. If you dont care about the wait times, poor communication and lack of real care for your bike then by all means take it to REI

Great place for camping or hiking. Rope, lighters, camp chairs like helinox or Nemo chairs, tents, cots, clothes, shoes, backpacks and you don't have to be a camper or hiker to find interesting things.
