- DCDale CombsOct 21, 20255.0Riding a bicycle across country when I had flat issues. I called store and spoke to Andrew who took my bike in and within an hour had both tubes replaced and injected sealant. He also recommended changing out my chain after 2400 miles of use. I was riding today having a great day riding from Superior towards Mesa when I got another flat in the rear tire. It was so bad it would not hold air at all. I was curious what size leak I had and why the sealant did not work. I had to have my wife pick me up and we drove back to REI. First another helpful associate took the bike and removed the tube. Andrew joined and felt the flat could be from the rim tape and offered to replace it. He had me back up and running within 15 mins and was very helpful. I told Andrew I did not want to see him again meaning with the bike otherwise he was a very professional and nice person who I would have no trouble talking to again just without bike issues. I have less than two weeks to finish my cross country trip and I am getting excited. My experience today turned a disappointing day into a better one with Andrew's help.

REI has a nice assortment of trail shoes and Madison enhances this area by being amazingly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. She exudes energy working with multiple people at the same time with efficiency and empathy. We're just starting out in the trail sports and have been receiving advice to utilize REI because they have what we need and policies for return to make it easier to find our way. The whole experience with 4 employees was good and we agree with the advice we received. We will use REI in the future.
