  Visiting from Switzerland, I found everything here what‘s needed for my 3 weeks hike on the AZ trail. The personel is very kind and helpful. They are experienced in hiking and really care about customer‘s needs. Thank you, I come back whenever possible

  I really want to love this place but, unfortunately, the staff lets down the experience - at least this time around. I get it, at the end of a day everyone is tired. But, watching repeated, less-than-positive encounters between the employees and customers left me deciding to take my business elsewhere. It is a shame but seems to be the way of the world nowadays. The products and facility is good. But, people do business with people. If that part fails, little can be done.

  Came in to try on shoes because I was looking for something specific. I did find a couple of pairs that I liked and when I went to check out, as soon as the cashier heard that I do not want to become a member, his attitude completely changed and he seemed very annoyed. I live 4 hours from the closest REI therefore, I have no use for being a member. But, I was very disappointed to be treated differently just because I don't want to become a member. I also now never want to come back to REI in Paradise Valley. 🤷
