At REI, we love to get outside and play, and we know first-hand the importance of quality outdoor gear. We stand behind all our products with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and we design our own line of award-winning REI brand gear and clothing. Whether you're new to outdoor adventure or a seasoned pro, we gladly share our enthusiasm for our products--and the trails, slopes and waterways where we play.
I love this store. They are staffed with people who know the equipment, can make good suggestions and recommendations and have an active life themselves.

Great store - been a member for decades. Knowledgeable staff, good products and the end of year dividend is nice.

The best REI in the South Bay—and the only one I shop at! The staff here are always friendly and patient, which makes every visit a good experience. The only improvement I can think of that will improve customer experience is to display more shoes in popular sizes, so customers can try them on and decide whether or not to buy without having to look for a staff member to try on shoes their size. Hiking and running are extremely popular activities in South Bay and on some weekends the shoe department is packed with people and staff members can look pretty stressed out.
They carry a wide selection of clothing and gear for hiking and camping, so I can almost always find what I need. Best of all, their return policy is consistent with REI’s guidelines, so I never have to worry about unexpected rules or hassles when making a return or exchange. Keep up the great work!

Really disappointed in the way the cashier represented a membership where they charged me for something, mentioned I would be getting the charge back as credit, but failed to make it clear that I couldnt use the credit on the purchase I was making at the moment.
Its not the cashier's fault, more it seems a way that REI trains them to message the membership in a deceiving way. REI should make the membership worthwhile, instead of risking the customer relationship to try to game making an extra $30.
I will in the future pay more for a store that values its customers.
