Gosh, I love REI but geez Louise. 10 mins waiting in line with only one register open and 5 people (yes, 5!) behind the counter talking. I had to leave my merchandise behind because the 10 min line was not moving and I needed to get to work.

This is the 2nd time in weeks, when one of my two bikes broke down and I brought them in and the bike repair quickly determined the problem and fixed it.
I could highlight the repair, but how much care they gave me was over the top.

I ordered over $500 of gear from REI but did not receive two of the items (tent and sleeping pad) which together totaled around $270. I brought this to REI's attention but they said since the order was over 30 days late they could neither replace or refund the items, despite claiming they have a return/refund policy of 1 year for members (is it really a replacement if I never received the items?). I have had a membership since 2017 and have spent thousands of dollars at REI yet they could not refund me for the mistakes made by them and/or the trucking company they gave my package to. I have cancelled my membership and will be shopping locally for my gear in the future, I encourage others to do the same.
