  I went with my adult daughter to this REI today to replace her worn-out Hokas. I don't usually find much to talk about when dealing with buying shoes but we were fortunate enough to be helped by a guy name Stephen. His knowledge of the differences between brands and styles was super helpful and he took the time to listen to what she was looking for and help her find the perfect shoe. No pressure, no rush, just great service. REI's lucky to have him - it's people like him that keep us going back .

  My boyfriend and I went to get some camping supplies and the store is not only clean and organized, but the staff is always so awesome and kind. We told them where we were going for our camping trip and they were giving us recommendations for things to do around the area. Also, I did set down my purse to try on something and didn’t realize until we were checking out that it was missing. Steve, my savior, came from nowhere holding it up for me. Can’t thank him and the staff enough. Always a great experience!

  REI is always great! They have very helpful and knowledgeable staff, great products and a wonderful shop to get your skis adjusted and repaired.

  Love REI, my husband has a membership so we do shop there often. Was traveling thru Oregon and we both needed new shoes for hiking the National parks. Went to this one in Hillsboro and while most of the employees were very nice and helpful the older man working in the shoe dept was rude, unhelpful and acted like we were an inconvenience to him. Did not want to check to see if sizes were available just kept saying nope we don’t have that size in any shoe. Finally the lady helping in shoes freed up and she was very nice and helpful and we did get 2 pair of shoes but I was very close to saying forget it and leaving without buying anything. If you don’t want to help customers with shoes why are you working there???
