Walked in and walked out since no one cared to ask if I needed help. 3 different associates just walked by and never said a word.

My customer service experience was the best I have ever experienced in my life. Tristan was my first helper, and tried on about 7 different shoes with him and decided to check out another store. (That ended horribly) so we came back. Derek was then helping me and I tried on some more shoes and ended up with some hiking boots and some everyday walking shoes that are beyond comfortable and honestly life changing. Getting shoes was an awesome experience. Then when I was checking out, Wyatt was phenomenal in helping us and all the questions we had. Everyone was so patient, kind and just overall friendly.

Warning: Call before you go...I took my Isinwheel electric bike for my grandson to REI since I live close by. I walked it in and up to the repair counter. The 'repair tech' was about 20 feet away, in view, working on another bike. I stood there for about 3 minutes and had to get his attention. He walked to the counter without a greeting or "welcome to REI" and I told him of my issue of the battery not holding a charge. He asked what brand it was and I replied 'Isinwheel'. Quickly, he replied he'd never heard of it. I told him it was past the 90-day warranty and if he could take a look at it since it was no longer holding a charge but he still refused to take a look since he'd never heard of the brand. I told him that was disappointing and I then left the store. Bottom line: If you need repair, better call and tell them the brand first. Otherwise, you waiste a trip.

Grey (I believe was their name) was super helpful in the shoe department and helped me find the perfect birks!

The bike shop doesn't actually work on ebikes. They say they do, and if you call and explain exactly what you need they'll say "come on in", but when you get there they'll explain that it's impossible for them to source parts for any bike they don't make or sell. Jeff is especially unpleasant and frankly strangely hostile. I know employees are told to try and sell store branded bikes, but I don't think that means that members who have other bikes should be treated poorly. Jeff has talked down to me once on the phone and twice in person, as well as suggested I would abandon my bike at the store because I would be unable to pay for repairs. I have never experienced such strangely horrible service. I am shopping for a new ebike and have decided to get a Trek, in a very large part so I can use their shop and not ever give the REI bike shop any more money.
