We always have a great experience at this store. We popped in today to get some stuff for an upcoming camping trip and it was busy. Despite being busy the staff were super friendly and very helpful with gear questions that we had. We now have a sweet new Kelty baby carrier that I’m really excited to do some hiking with. we were trying to get shoe but Joel that’s he’s name. He’s like I’m here but I dont wanna help you this kind of attitude usually REI customer service is the best but this person is something else everything else was good I love the store that’s for sure

i asked an employee who was folding shirts (adjacent the shoes) if i she could get me a shoe from the back. she argued that she was on "the floor" and i should ask the one guy working in shoes. there were a few people already waiting for the one shoe guy and there were several employees on "the floor" not helping anyone. I don't think it was out of line for me to ask for help.
i've never worked at a place where I was instructed to ignore customers in favor of folding clothes. maybe rei got bought out by private equity

They are so pushy about the membership. No means no. The sales clerks in the store are pushy. The check out lady is pushy. You can't shop in peace.
Also, how does an outdoor store not allow dogs? You sell harnesses but I can't bring my dog in to get him fitted?

Unbelievable staff treats you like a freeloading idiot. Dread coming to this location even for pickup. Attitude issues with bike staff who won't answer questions like I didn't buy all my gear from them with real money. Asked how to attach a pannier and got the biggest huff and puff whining about how busy they are. Yeah, with customers. Customers like me! I was waiting patiently. My question took thirty seconds to answer, I wasn't wasting time. Dang wish I could refund my membership what a hellhole.
