  My wife and I popped into this store on our last day of vacation before flying home. We were asked numerous times if we needed assistance. We informed them we did not. After asking, the salesperson stuck around and it appeared they were surveilling us. It was disheartening to be treated like this, as we are REI members. My wife opted not to try anything on even though several items caught her eye. Not very much overall in this store compared to other REIs. Not worth the stop.

  Super great to have close by to supplement the many family owned shops in the area. And they have EV chargers.

  Maybe when they decided to open a store in Durango, they should have figured out there is river right across the road from the store, and that people are in to water sports here. Walked in asked where kayak paddles were. A very nice friendly employee said "We don't have water sports in this store, but you can order on line." So that's what I did....came home on ordered on line....from Amazon.

  Great items and I’m a member. I’ve bought from 2nd Sports Ave, Back Country & REI. I do wish their customer service would be a bit more attentive. Other than that, we love the options, specially clothing!! 5/5

  My family and I were excited to shop at the new REI in Durango. I was looking for shoes and my husband was there to browse. I tried on the shoes and found a pair I liked. I noticed my family were still browsing so I shopped around as well. As I was browsing, numerous times my husband and I were asked if we needed assistance. We informed them we did not. After asking, the salesperson stuck around and it appeared they were surveilling us. It was disheartening to be treated like this, as we shop regularly at other REI stores. We did not make our purchase instead we went downtown Durango to another shoe store. They gladly accepted our money. All I ask is that your staff do better, not every person of color that comes into your store is looking to steal.
