  We have been members for years and shop here first for most of our outdoor gear! The store brand is good quality especially for the price as our boys grow out of things each season! Even our dogs benefit from their products! We can confidently recommend the Shokz OpenRun Pro2, JBL Live 770NC headphones (great for kids with special needs as they are noise-canceling), Garmin watches (outlast any other brand for my husband who works and plays outdoors most of his waking hours), REI kid’s Tarn packs (love the features), REI camp chairs (durable and comfortable), REI kid’s waterproof gloves (perfect for long days in the snow), Wolfgang Dog collar, harness and leash (great patterns/colors, washes well and is easy to use)… the list goes on!

  I went to the store to buy a new pair of hiking boots for my new foot situation that has an altered shape and step. I showed Tom my old hikers (a pair of Merrells that I love and wore well until recently--my fault, but happy with one year!). I explained my situation, and he gave a short pause for thought, and said he had two choices for me that he thought would solve my problem. He brought out two pair of Merrell's that were just slightly different. I put them on and they felt like they were custom-made for my feet! They completely solved my problem and I wound up buying both pairs--one pair for work, and one pair for knockaround. My problem was solved in under 10 minutes. I strongly recommend Tom for all your hiking and running needs!

  I can’t say enough good things about REI. Every time I visit (whether in person or even just over the phone), the staff are consistently friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. They go above and beyond to make sure I find exactly what I’m looking for and that I understand the ins and outs of the gear. I also really appreciate the wide variety of trusted brands they carry; it makes shopping here so easy. It’s clear that the employees truly care about both the products and the people who shop here. REI continues to be one of my favorite places to shop for outdoor gear.

  I came in the other day looking to buy another pair of Hokas. I asked the employee if the Hokas on display were the only ones they have. He said yes. I said that the ones I wanted weren’t there. He told me emphatically they have every kind of Hokas. After shopping at another shoe store what I learned is that most likely what he meant is that there are many color variations of Hokas in the back- that are not on display. I have no idea why he would not inform me of this. He was not friendly and really wasn’t interested in helping me. I even went in with the purpose of buying a pair of Hokas that day.
