  Went to the Salem store based on the website stating they had the item in stock.. Arrived and fount out they did not. We asked if they could call the Bridgeport store and the sales associate. Stated they would not do that but we could . I asked why and she said she was busy. Asked her to get the manager and the manager said the same thing. No joke but the parking lot was empty and the manger was not busy as she was talking with other sales staff. She used the common phrase these days as they are short staffed .!I walked out and said I will take my business elsewhere. Went to cabelas and they saved it for me and I couldn’t be happier with their service. Thank you drew at cabelas. You rock! REI, I had to drive 40 minutes to the cabelas in Tualatin but they greeted me with a smile and treated me as a valued customer. Also, REI, you sell all things related to dogs for the outdoors but you have a big sign out front of the store stating no dogs allowed. Hmmmmmm. Cabelas welcomes our furry fur children. 😁

  Generally good solution and the discount rack of returns is a plus. The lack of any shopping bag accommodation - even paper ones - is a laughable political statement. Content to shop here about once a year but have expanded horizons to bass pro style shops.
