Worst experience imaginable. Worst communication, no follow-up and no desire to do better. We prepaid for our liner to replaced for our in-ground pool 5 months ago. We were told that they were backed up and that they would reach out shortly before installation would be scheduled. This did not happen. We called repeately over the course of spring and summer trying to determine when we would be getting our liner installed. No return phone calls. Left numerous messages and emails, spoke with staff who said they would help to find out where we were in the schdule - again no follow up correspondance. Absolutely horrible. In October, afer pool season has passed, they came to the house and installed the liner, only to cover the pool jets and the light with the liner and then completely filled the pool with water to cover the unfinished job. We immediately caught issue and called to have it corrected. They said that were waiting for a part to come in for the light and would come back. That was 3 weeks ago and again with no communication- no follow up. We now have a large body of water filling with leaves that is unusable as it stands.

Recreational Concepts installed our pool and historically, we have been very happy with them but Summer 2025 has been horrendous. Earlier this summer, we determined our pool liner was leaking to the point where we needed a new liner and wanted to discuss the option of installing a tanning ledge. Courtney initially was responsive but after she estimated it would be an extra $10k for the tanning ledge, we told her to proceed with a quote for the new liner only. I'd like to note that Courtney started off the summer well with good communication and their techs were out to fix problems with our pool a few times -- the service was excellent however, after July, it seems like Courtney either quit her job and they found no one to replace her or she picks and chooses the customers who she helps. Her inbox is constantly full. If you leave a message with the person at the front who does answer, there is zero follow up. If you call and ask to speak to Jeff the owner, you are told he is "busy" and don't get a call back either. We even stopped in to see Courtney, we were told to wait and she would be right out but after finding out who we were we were told she would be "busy the rest of the day". Finally in September, I reached Jennifer who started off by telling me the quote took longer because of the tanning ledge -- mind you this is something we told Courtney months earlier that we didn't want. Jennifer did answer her phone a few times and was very helpful in answering questions about a new liner that we desperately need. She said there was a good chance for a fall installation. Mind you, at this point, we have not been able to use the pool since the end of July. After I signed the contract and they cashed our check for over $5200 there has been zero follow up and again we are being ghosted. When I did reach Jennifer a few weeks ago she said she would "check with Courtney" and call back. I have heard nothing. No calls from messages left with the front office or after a call back I requested from Jeff. My husband and I were told several times this summer that their horrendous customer service should be excused because they were "so short staffed". This is a problem everywhere and could be excused if there was any sort of communication. A simple, "we are so sorry for the delay but you're on the schedule for X date" is all that is necessary. Ghosting paying customers is, unacceptable. Additionally, I don't understand why they can't hire extra seasonal help during the summer (I know several college students looking for summer employment!). After reading reviews now, this seems to happen every year. We lost a month and a half of pool time this summer because we time and time again gave them the benefit of the doubt. This company has amazing techs who are always very kind and nice but the horrendous customer service and lack of any sort of communication with customers who WANT TO GIVE THEM MONEY FOR THEIR SERVICES is going to put them out of business.

I had a Pentair warranty claim for a faulty pool heater that was assigned to Recreational Concepts. I was told I should be contacted within 72 hours. After a week, I called and had to leave a message to ask for an update, no response. After two weeks I sent an email asking for an update, no response. After three weeks I drove to the physical office to ask for an update and was told that if I left a message they will get back to me, with little to no customer service. Now after 4 weeks of waiting for a response from Recreational Concepts, Pentair was willing to pull this work order from them and reassign it to another company. Unfortunately costing me 4 weeks of potential pool use during our short Wisconsin summers. This is the same level of customer service we experienced when we were in the market to purchase the pool as well, and why we chose to go elsewhere at that time. If you prefer any type of communication or responsiveness, I would recommend looking elsewhere for your needs.
