  I regret choosing RE/MAX for our home buying and selling needs in the greater Philadelphia area. Our agent, Marta Pilip, provided misleading advice on location resale value when we purchased a $907k new construction home in Plymouth Meeting in 2023. When selling a year later, the listing had numerous errors (square footage, map location etc), poor communication, and no proactive efforts, leading to three months on the market with no showings despite price drops to $899k. Comparable homes sold for $950k and $990k nearby, proving the market wasn't the issue. When we escalated to broker Al Cianfarini, he defended the agent without addressing our valid complaints and refused to reduce the $2,000 termination fee. Switching agencies sold our home in two weeks, but we lost over $132k in value overall. RE/MAX seems to prioritize their agents over clients, with little oversight or support. I recommend looking elsewhere for a more professional and accountable real estate experience.
