The Rayland hotel is located downtown in The Dalles. "Rockin'" Randy made check in fun and easy. He also made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We even discovered that he grew up in our neighborhood in Portland!
This hotel is nice and the price was reasonable. They are currently going through some renovations that are estimated to be completed in the spring of 2026. The place is nice now, would totally come back after the additions of the cafe and bar.
The room has a comfortable bed, microwave, and mini fridge. I didn't notice any loud noises during our stay.
If you find yourself needing lodging in The Dalles, the Rayland is the place to book!

Construction started making noise at 7:15am
The room was a bit overpriced for the state of the hotel being under construction, but the room was awesome. Very clean and comfortable and updated. The free breakfast was pathetic, nothing hot, just packaged things like oatmeal, applesauce, muffins. The location is perfect, many bars and restaurants within walking distance, the small town main street is really cute! We were able to park two large trucks with trailers on the street out front, which was really convenient. Lastly the service was awesome. The two that helped us at the front desk were warm, personable, and kind! I would stay here again.
Nice updated room. Hard parking situation.
