In 1970, our founder Richard Hook started a retail flooring store in Hudson, NH called Mister Carpet. In 1982, he decided to focus all of his attention on the commercial flooring market as Southern New Hampshire experienced explosive growth and he started R. Fraser Company. From there we have grown to be one of the most respected flooring contractors in the region completing projects in all 6 New England States as well as New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
In April of 2021, we went back to our roots and opened a newly renovated retail showroom taking our years of experience in the commercial flooring market back to the homeowners of Southern New Hampshire.

We didn’t notice until we had picked up the flooring and had brought it home. This is where the amazing customer service from Mark came in. Not only did he fixed a problem that he wasn’t responsible for, he went above and beyond for us. Scheduled everything with the manufacturer to return the wrong flooring, helped us find the correct flooring, ordered us the correct flooring. And he didn’t stop there. The flooring was not in stock so they had to bring it from Canada. He paid for Trumps tariffs. He didn’t have to, but he did. And we are truly thankful for that. What an amazing customer service. That small gesture made us lifetime customers. Thank you so much Mark and the whole team. We appreciate all the help these last few weeks.

Their pricing was more than fair and beat out several other quotes we received for our project, without all the nickel and diming and line items for things like trim removal and replacement. Flooring and carpet selection was great. Mark even went out of his way to order a larger sample of one of our choices so we could see more of the details of the grain. The installer from our project, DJ was also top notch. He worked hard, was polite and did a fantastic job. He was also a one man show due to unforeseen circumstances and worked his tail off to ensure our project was complete. Overall I would highly recommend R. Fraser and look forward to using them again on future flooring projects.
