Quintero is consistently rated among the best public courses in Arizona, and it’s easy to see why. The elevation changes alone make it unforgettable—teeing off from elevated boxes with sweeping views is a thrill. The fairways are generous, but the greens are tricky and demand precision. It’s a challenging course, but it’s also incredibly fun, with every hole offering something unique. The drive out there is a bit longer, but once you’re on the course, you realize it’s absolutely worth the trip.

I have been a many golf courses in the area of higher caliber, and I have to say that this one is definitely my favorite. From the staff at the clubhouse to the course itself all the way down to the cart ladies are absolutely phenomenal. They take such good care of the clients and also the golf course itself. I have now golfed here over five times and every experience gets better and better and I wasn’t sure if that was ever possible. Thank you for such a great atmosphere. The price is a little bit more expensive but you definitely get what you pay for.

Playing Quintero was a bucket list experience for me, and the drive out was absolutely worth it. Each hole offered a unique and picturesque challenge, with immaculate fairways and tee boxes that truly stood out. Pace of play was great and we didn’t see another group till about hole 16. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. I played just a week before the course closed for renovations, hopefully including updates to the bunkers and many of the greens. My only critique would be the bunkers, which were more gravel than sand, resembling those you’d find at a basic municipal courses. Plan ahead and arrive earlier than you think. The drive from the entrance to the practice facility and first tee is longer than expected. All in all, I highly recommend playing Quintero if you’re visiting Phoenix and can make the trip. It’s a memorable course and lives up to the hype!
Just Meh. I had heard good things so was excited to play. I don't mind the hour drive or the greens fee's for the right course. This was not it. Overall:
-clubhouse staff was nice but it's not *really a clubhouse
-carts were nice
-fairways were in good condition
-Bunkers are absolute trash - hard packed with no sand.
-Course marshall was incredibly rude. We were waiting on the group in front of us on multiple holes (we were a foursome), and the group behind us (a threesome) would subsequently wait on us. The marshall kept telling us we were a problem group and we had to pick up the pace. Not sure how to do that without hitting into the group in front of us. We finished the round in 4:10, so it wasn't slow...
Basically because of the marshall I will never go back to this course. Green conditions and bunkers can vary depending on the season and weather so I can overlook that. But a member of the staff making you feel unwanted the whole day is crap.
Don't leave Phoenix without playing at Quintero. Not once did I feel like the holes were repetitive. Each hole had its own challenges, with varying options of difficulty. There are holes with split fairways for a risk reward type of play, and all the par threes offer stunning views. The staff was exceptional, and they delivered food to your cart as long as you ordered before hole #10. The condition of the course was amazing, lush green fairways and fast greens. The entire course has paved cart paths. The bunkers were fine. The views are amazing. It's a long course in the mountains with cactus and wildlife everywhere.
