I am by no means a Pure Barre super fan. I have taken classes from 20+ different instructors in 8 different studios across the country and they've been all over the map. Some studios are more about the lifestyle than the workout. Some instructors are basically working out alongside you and yelling out "motivational" messages like "This is where the change happens!" - basically an in-person workout tape. If I'm going to be paying $20 for a class I need it to be 20 times better than the workout I would do at home, and Claire Bosworth's class definitely meets that standard. She programs the work well to target specific muscle groups in ways that are challenging but not boring. She really understands form and spends the class explaining exactly what you need to be thinking about and making small corrections on your body. Her knowledge takes the workout from good to great. It is a good use of time and money.
