  Dr. Predmore helped me in a way that I’m eternally grateful for while I had an emergency traveling from Wisconsin to an unfortunate funeral after a boating accident in Pierre, South Dakota. Approximately 1/2 way through Minnesota my GSD started to bleed from her nose, and I frantically started calling every emergency vet within the area via Google maps, and since it was ~7PM most of them were unavailable…and he answered, told me to drive safely and that he wanted to go home since it was late in the evening but he would stay until I got to his location. He helped treat Schatzi gave her Vitamin D shots to help with the bleeding, antibiotics/antimycotics, a shot to alleviate pain for the hours until I got to family in SD…and as we spoke about my UPS job and how I’ve been alll over SD either delivering or managing centers and the best places to hunt/fish, etc. and Schatzi was so calm around him. He expressed his genuine displeasure with the WI vet clinic who was feeding me lines / billing me outrageous for stuff that’d make little difference, and gave it to me strait…recommending that I visit the vet (who was much like him) in SD and see if she would help me get through the next steps… I also noticed how he spoke to a couple of people who were in the cities that were also frantically calling emergency vets for their pets, and how he’d listen calmly, ask discerning questions, and tell them what to do in the meantime until he could see them tomorrow…such a gentleman and in the moment I felt he was a saint amongst vets. Schatzi, was for the ~12 years I had her truly a one of a kind dog, and I’m quite sure she was my “soul dog” who was my copilot on so many adventures, and she often came to work with me and genuinely loved to play with any people she met so much so that when she passed I received many calls from friends, family, coworkers, and old neighbors who shared their stories/tears learning when she passed away. Tear up thinking about how I never knew Dr. Predmore’s first name, Lawrence, as it was such a frantic drive to his clinic, and at the end of our conversation I asked him how much he’d need for helping us out: “Don’t worry about it…it’s always nice to meet/talk to someone from South Dakota” As I went to my uncle Larry’s funeral the next day, I felt like it was more than chance that I found Dr. Lawrence (Larry) Predmore along the way…and I hope / wish all the best for him, and couldn’t recommend him more to anyone else that may need a vet. If he reads this: thank you for being such a great person and making the last few days I had with Schatzi be ones that I cherished and was able to help her pass peacefully. God bless.

  Best vet I’ve been to in the area. I feel much more secure as a pet owner, since I ran across this place. Commerical vets spend the time on the nonsense problems that rack up the bill and give little benifit to your pet, and I have found tend to look past any real medical issues.! Finally a vet that cares about the animal not your pocket book. Love this place Keep up the good work !!!
