I wish I had listened to the other reviews before moving in. Everyone in this building has been dealing with bed bugs, and despite countless complaints, management has done nothing meaningful to fix the issue. On top of that, the building is crawling with roaches and ants. My living room walls even developed mold, and instead of properly addressing it, maintenance simply painted over it. They are quick and aggressive when it comes to collecting rent, but when it comes to actual living conditions, everything gets ignored. I regret overlooking the warnings before signing my lease. Paying for parking is absolutely useless. People have been robbed in broad daylight, cars have been stolen, and mine has been broken into three different times. The so-called security does nothing but make sure tow trucks remove cars they do not actually protect residents or their vehicles. This place feels like it cares more about money than the safety or health of its tenants. Honestly, I’m surprised it hasn’t been shut down yet. If you’re considering moving here, please take this as your warning don’t ignore the reviews like I did.

I lived at Prairie Shores for almost two years and ultimately had to involve a lawyer to terminate my lease due to unresolved habitability and building code issues. I experienced many extremely distressing issues while living here, but here are the highlights: • Water leak from the ceiling caused wall damage that required repair • Recurring roach problem, even after multiple pest control treatments • Bedbug issue during my tenancy that was extremely distressing • No heat during the coldest week of January 2024, with no urgency from management • Bathroom vent non-functional for two years, a 311 report was made — this is a building code violation • Water bubbles in the bathroom ceiling and buildup in the A/C unit raised concerns about possible mold • Ants got into food on multiple occasions • Laundry machines frequently out of service, with several broken at once • Phone calls and messages to management often went unanswered • Despite a formal letter from my doctor recommending I vacate due to health concerns, management refused to release me from my lease • I was only able to end my lease after taking legal action I have documentation and photos for many of these issues. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others before signing a lease here.

Originally I was dissatisfied with my move-in experience, as despite having my move-in checklist completed in advance to my move-in, I never received a welcome email informing me of move-in procedures, the staff did not have my keys prepared, and was told I was to wait until after multiple tours to be assisted. Kristin W. completely turned my unsatisfactory experience into a pleasant one. She was very professional and noticed me having to wait despite arriving at my proper move-in time hours earlier. I was able to receive my keys and have all my questions answered about the area having moved from out of state. She was very courteous and polite and offered her support whenever I need it!

I have been trying to shift from a studio to a one-bed apartment at Prairie Shores but I am getting no help from the leasing agent Nakiah Burnette who's been assigned to my case. It has been over a month of emails from my side, but she has replied to my emails like twice. I paid the deposit and passed the screening results and yet I haven't received my lease. I tried going to the clubhouse and speaking to the leasing coordinator Kristin at the reception desk. She's been really helpful, she directly messaged Nakiah twice to have her speak to me and resolve my issues, but Nakiah refused to speak to me, saying I will have to wait until she emails me?? She doesn't even reply to the emails I send her, how long am I supposed to wait? I am supposed to move in to the new apartment in 2 weeks and I haven't received my lease, and I am not even getting any updates when I will receive it. What kind of service is this?
