Inspired by its Miami roots and a recipe for fresh 24-hour citrus marinated chicken, Pollo Tropical began offering guests across Florida a creative take on traditional Cuban dishes, as well as foods from other parts of Latin America, over 35 years ago.

The food is alright for what it is although the ropa vieja tasted like bbq and the tostone was not crispy and no salt and as a Dominican I can confirm that tostone was at least a 4/10. The workers are nice at least and the food is quick sometimes getting an order in takes a bit tho.

The staff was helpful and took my order with ease, the food was the most delicious I have tasted and Ronny the manager asked how the food was, a very nice person. Overall very hospitable and will be coming more often when in the area to eat here.
