I really liked living at this apartment and I thought Alexis was very communicative and helpful. However I had a very bad experience with this place. I had planned to move out early due to a family issue. I had lined up someone to take over my lease that was already a tenant (they were month to month at the time and were well known by the landlord). Since I thought this was all set up, I began my move and was told that they could do a move out inspection as soon as I was out. The tenant decided to back out and I was left on the hook for another month's rent. Unfortunate but understandable. Then I noticed that the apartment wasn't listed online. When I asked, I was told that black mold was found. My response was that if there was black mold in the apartment, I shouldn't have been living there anyway and I had pictures to prove the place was professionally cleaned when I vacated. After several emails and another month, I was still being charged rent. At this point, I was told that there would be a claim for renter's insurance since the place was not livable for April, but that never panned out. Instead my charges were sent to a collections agency that wanted immediate payment or they would send it to a different agency. Thankfully the charges were reduced to just one month. I'll pay it eventually, but I would have stayed the remainder of my lease or found my own subtenant had I known this would happen. I really don't think it was the property manager's fault, so two of these stars are for her.
