Really loved this place! Beautiful atmosphere and super friendly staff. We tried the carbonara, burger, and beet-avocado tartare - all delicious. Of course, it doesn’t taste like a traditional carbonara or a meat burger, but it’s flavorful and creative in its own way. I’m not vegan, but I’d absolutely come back - totally worth trying!
A vegan and vegetarian restaurant in bustling downtown Toronto. Just outside of the Bay subway station. This is my second visit. It actually seemed a bit downscaled from my last visit. The food is less pretentious and, in my opinion, better. The sushi starters are awesome and the main entrées are inspired by many cuisines. There are definitely a lot of Asian influences. The furniture needs a refresh but it's a nice, relatively quiet place to have lunch or dinner.

Great atmosphere, modern and sleek decor, makes this place a gem. The Amazingly delicious food is worth the trip we made from New York. From the hostess to our server, everyone was awesome!! We ordered the Bang Bang Broccoli, and the Torched & Pressed for starters, which are heavenly. We ordered the cucumber mule for drinks, they tasted so fresh and amazing. We had The House Burger and The Vodka Pizza as our entrees, and for dessert we had Apple Crumb pie......OMG!!!! SOOOO delicious. Our waitress Marie was soo awesome. Great staff. Highly recommend it.
We went to Planta for lunch and decided to share a few dishes. We ordered the torched and pressed sushi (our favourite!), the bang bang broccoli, and the lime cheesecake for dessert.
The service was slow this time (they might have been understaffed), but it was fine since we were not in a rush.
Planta never misses, every dish was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. It’s such a great vegan restaurant for both lunch and dinner.
I just wish they offered their membership in Canada — I’d definitely join!

Every visit to Planta has been such a treat, and I’ve enjoyed trying a variety of their dishes. The Bang Bang Broccoli is still my absolute favorite — crispy, flavorful, and coated in the most addictive sauce. It’s the perfect starter and one of the best veggie dishes I’ve ever had.
I’ve also tried their carbonara, and it was so creamy and satisfying without feeling heavy — a great example of how plant-based can be just as indulgent. Their sandwiches and burgers are filling and creative, packed with flavor and fresh ingredients, and definitely don’t make you miss the meat. The drinks are refreshing and thoughtfully prepared, making the whole experience feel balanced and complete.
The atmosphere is chic and modern, yet comfortable, and the service has always been warm and attentive. Whether you’re plant-based or just curious, Planta proves that vegan dining can be exciting, flavorful, and memorable. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a unique dining experience — and I’ll definitely be going back for more.
