PLANTA Queen is a celebration of innovative and plant-based Asian-inspired cuisine by Chef David Lee, served in a high energy and beautifully designed space with an overflow of fun, late-night vibes. PLANTA Queen DC stays true to signatures like Truffle Udon Noodles and Bang Bang Broccoli while expanding plant-powered horizons in the way of sushi, dumplings, cocktails, and more. PLANTA Queen reimagines and reinvents plant-based dining, providing flavorful (and fun) proof that the power of plants can change the world.
Twice now during a visit to Planta Queen, we have been seated and were not provided any water. Last night, during our most recent visit, I literally witnessed the server of another table, with water in hand, look at our table, note that our glasses were empty and walk away. We hold monthly meetings at PQ after unfortunately having to move from Planta Cocina and the service, menu and ambiance are all significantly worse. The music is also way too loud to allow for conversation, another thing that was never an issue at PC. Also Maki Mondays is not advertised by either the menu or our server; had we not already known about it we would've missed out. I wonder if this is intentional or just neglect.

It’s an understatement to say how much we enjoyed our lunch at this restaurant. I even went to their website afterward to learn more about the chef (the info wasn’t there!) — because someone is truly the Planta Queen.
The menu and flavors were incredibly creative, and the presentation was stunning. The interior design was beautiful and full of character, and the staff were calm, attentive, and made great eye contact — everything felt so peaceful and unhurried.
We were celebrating a special occasion and had an unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely visit again anytime I’m in a city with one of their locations.

Loved the food and ambience.
We walked-in on a drizzling Sunday night and were able to get a table. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with wallpapers (of dragons?), modern interiors with wooden colors and cozy lighting.
We are vegetarians and love the option to choose from complete menu. Ordered one sushi - Dragon and Singapore noodles. Loved both of them. The sushi was quite flavorful with a punchy sauce and the noodles had good seasoning. I found the noodles a bit oily (yet it was delicious).
The only part that irked me was that when taking payment, the server had pre-selected the tip for 20%. I’d have given the tip nevertheless since I had a great time. But the fact that he pre-selected didn’t go well with me.

Visiting from Charlotte, NC and was in search of vegan dining, so found this and gave it a try. Absolutely absolutely loved their Dan Dan Noodles, I think that deserves 20/10 stars, the Korean chick’n sandwich was delicious as well. Definitely recommend to all

A great upscale vegan restaurant! We had a wonderful dinner — the Fried Truffle Rice, Dan Dan Noodles, and Matcha Cheesecake for dessert were all delicious. A must-visit if you’re in DC and looking for an exceptional vegan experience.
